Check it out at: http://www.imsglobal.org/ There are directories of products and organisations that support the specs, as well as a public use case forum, and details of IMS work-in-progress, as well as existing specs. I note, however, that they say CETIS coordinates activities for "online learning communities and initiatives in England". Hmmmph. However, over all it is a huge improvement!
