There are on-line epidemiology courses available through the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate SChool of Public Health's Global Health Network SUPERCOURSE (a *free* web-based library of tutorials in public health and epidemiology). No tuition, no academic credit. However, you can use the modules to create a self-designed Web course for academic credit through the School of Information Sciences at Pitt; I have six students doing this self-design approach this summer. You can access the SUPERCOURSE at http://www.pitt.edu/~super1/ Ellen Detlefsen Associate Professor, Department of Library & Information Science Core Faculty, Center for Biomedical Informatics Project Director, Highmark Minority Health Link Chief, Information Dissemination Unit, Intervention Research Center for Late Life Mood Disorders, School of Medicine University of Pittsburgh 135 N. I have another query. There's 4 places offering a postgraduate certificate in EBHC/EBP, has anyone attended them? Oxford http://www.conted.ox.ac.uk/Courses/Health/htmlfiles/master/pgcert/pgcert.htm U of Queensland http://www.sph.uq.edu.au/GHSP/Students/Evidence.html Monash U http://www.monash.edu.au/pubs/handbooks/offcampus/oc0174.htm U of Portsmouth http://www.port.ac.uk/courses/coursetypes/postgraduate/PgCInEvidenceBasedPra ctice/ My university is hopefully offering a 12-credit graduate certificate in Epidemiology this Fall, but it sure would be neat to go for one of these others next year, especially if offered online. (I'd love to study in person, but that's probably out of the question.) BTW, U of NC at Chapel Hill offers online Epidemiology CE courses http://www.sph.unc.edu/courses/eric/ if anyone can recommend other online epi CE courses, that'd be great.
