medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Greetings all,

I recently read Berman's Cistercian Evolution, and much of what she writes regarding the Cistercians seems to speak to the confusing nature of beguine history (my current research interest) as well. However, I believe there were some critical analyses of Berman's work on this listserv awhile back, which I unfortunately didn't save because I didn't realize it would become applicable to my research. I was wondering if some of you could contact with me with your thoughts or reservations about this text. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
