LECTURESHIP IN GLOBALISATION
Applications are invited for a lectureship held jointly by the departments
of Sociology and Geography in connection with the Broad Curriculum
Initiative at Trinity College Dublin. The appointment, which will be
tenable from July 2003 or as soon as possible thereafter, will be offered
on contract for five years. The appointee will be responsible for the
co-ordination and delivery of the Broad Curriculum course "Globalisation:
Changing Worlds, Changing Minds".
Applications from candidates with research interests in any geographic
and/or sociological aspect of globalisation would be particularly welcome.
The successful candidate will already be in possession of a PhD, have a
strong record of publications in their field, and have sound literate and
communication skills. In addition to the Broad Curriculum course, the
successful candidate will contribute to courses linked to their research
area in programmes of study within the departments of Geography and
Sociology.
Salary scale: EUR27,607 - EUR68,198 per annum. Commencing salary will be
within the range EUR27,607-EUR38,956 per annum, to accord with
qualifications
and experience to date.
