Vision 2003 – New Freedoms Conference 11 – 13 June 2003 An International Conference dedicated to developing access to new audiences through diverse programming. The Conference is hosted by InterCulture in collaboration with Harewood House, Barbados Museum, English Heritage, Heritage Lottery Fund, Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber, Leeds City Council. Harewood House with its unique historic connections to the Caribbean and India will play host to the Conference. The Conference will bring together speakers and delegates from Britain, America, the Caribbean and India, in order to explore diversity and social inclusion in the Arts, Archaeology, Museum and Heritage sectors. New Freedoms will challenge current perceptions of heritage within a global context. It will examine the representation of sites and peoples and how communities may participate further in the creation of their own cultural identity.
