Out of curiosity why the change? This was also done on the US archivist list awhile back, too, resulting in long discussions about the change. As a result original posters in many cases have had to compile private responses into one post for reposting to the list as a whole. One problem with the change is the appearance of messages from other subscribers reminding folks to please reply to directly to the list as others may be interested in the responses. If this is a result of OOF messages let me make a suggestion, that the offenders be set to the nomail option when their OOF message is spotted. oh well my two cents on a sunny warm DC day -- Peter A.
