Please note the following vacancy (2 of 2) for a research post: University of Central England in Birmingham Faculty of Computing, Information and English Centre for Information Research (CIRT) Research Fellow Salary RB 3 (£19,611) - RB8 (£24,274) Full time 18 month fixed term contract The Centre for Information Research (CIRT) is seeking to recruit a researcher to a new project funded through the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) fund for Good Management Practice. The project: 'E-libraries Outcomes and Performance', complements the work of the eVALUEd project, to further support the management of electronic information services (EIS) in Higher Education in the UK. The project will work with SCONUL ACPI (Society of College National and University Libraries Advisory Committee for Performance Improvement) to pilot and refine a set of performance measures for electronic information services and devise and test the feasibility of approaches to aligning library and information services outcomes (focusing on electronic information services) with institutional aims; and to augment and refine the evalued toolkit through longitudinal testing. The post holder will conduct a wide range of research activities and be responsible for the organisation of the fieldwork, project liaison including liaising with senior library managers, data analysis and contributing to generating ideas, literature collection, report writing, project dissemination and promotion. The salary will be in the range of RB 3 (£19,611) - RB8 (£24,274). The post will be offered as a full time eighteen month fixed term contract.
