We are doing some research (prompted by property development proposals at one of our main branch libraries), into libraries sited above shops or other retail-type establishments. Does anyone operate such libraries? If so, we would be very grateful for any feedback on advantages/disadvantages, particularly in respect of access issues. I will of course summarise any responses and post to the list in the hope that this may be of help to others.
