The Department of Geography in the Faculty of Arts requires a Human Geographer at the Assistant Professor rank with specialization in some combination of Social, Cultural and Tourism Geography. The position requires instruction of Introductory Human Geography, Tourism and Recreation in Canada and three upper level undergraduate courses including Research Strategies in Human Geography, Parks and Outdoor Recreation and Social and Cultural Geography.


Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geography and university teaching experience. Candidates with an MA may be considered at the rank of Lecturer.

Salary and working conditions are governed by the Okanagan University College Faculty Association Collective Agreement. Placement on the salary grid is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
