To add to Keith's point about challenging behaviour - could I add three more potential definitions
of challenging behaviour:
- a resistant act to disabling and oppressive institutions
- a social construction created by a whole host of specialist professions - particularly psychology
- a phenomenon that has kept a lot of professionals and academics in work


Has always struck me how people with learning difficulties are not allowed to
be 'bad' (whatever that means) without it being given a label of challenging behaviour.
