I am reading the Complete Works of Saki at the moment and have been struck by the number of similarities to Kipling - the colonial background, the time in Westward Ho! the insights into a particular layer of society etc.

There were five years between them, and it is evident from the internal references that Saki knew Kipling's writing well.

Does anyone know whether Kipling knew Saki, or did he ever comment on his work?
