Dear Colleagues,

Apologies for and multiple postings.

The Metamorphic Studies Group, a joint Specialist Group of the
Mineralogical Society of Great Britain and the Geological Society of
London, will be holding its Research in Progress meeting and AGM on
Thursday 13th March at the Geological Society, Burlington House, London.
The Keynote Speaker will be announced shortly. The RIP is a good
opportunity to air new developments or ideas, or perhaps to rehearse a
presentation for EUG/EGS?

CALL FOR PAPERS
Abstracts are invited from those who wish to make an oral or poster
presentation. Presentations from postgraduate students are particularly
encouraged and a prize is offered for the best student presentation. The
abstract should be in Times Roman 12 pt font with title in bold
capitals. It should not exceed 2 sides of A4 including diagrams and
references. Any references should be listed in 8 pt font at the end of
the text. Please send abstracts to me by e-mail at
[log in to unmask] , or by hard copy to the postal address
at the foot of this e-mail. Please avoid sending attachments exceeding
2Mbytes. Deadline for submission of abstracts is Thursday 6th March, but
given the short notice some flexibility may be exercised, consistent
with being able to finalise the programme in good time.

It would be helpful for anticipating numbers if those who wish to
attend could e-mail me their intention to attend as soon as possible,
simply by pasting one of the following 6 lines into the subject line
(one message per presentation):

MSG RIP oral provisional
MSG RIP oral definite

MSG RIP poster provisional
MSG RIP poster definite

MSG RIP no presentation provisional
MSG RIP no presentation definite

Looking forward to seeing you in London.

Best wishes
Simon Cuthbert
(MSG Secretary)
