I have a rural southern UK site with a couple of IA hares, but a large increase in their numbers in Early and Late Romano-British phases. They are not complete burials, but odd bits and pieces suggesting their general usage. Does anyone else have this? Any suggestions why hares are more important in the RB/left alone in the Iron Age? jacqui Jacqui Mulville Lecturer in Bioarchaeology School of History and Archaeology Cardiff University Cardiff CF10 3XU
