Dear all, I am looking for expressions of interest in working with me on animal bone assemblages from a series of sites in Wales (Llangorse crannog) and Scotland (the Hebrides). At present this is just in the planning stage, I have money but not the University organisation in place. The work is likely to be of a few months duration in the first interest, but if I get more money this should expand. It is also likely you would get the chance to come and work in the hebrides with the project over the summer for a couple of months. There is likely to be funding for the person to help me with my osteology practicals as well. The rate of pay will be at research assistant level and the person will work under my supervision. Full acknowlegment of the individuals role in the projects will be give (joint publications etc). Once the funding is set up the project is likely to start in Feburary. I am sorry that it is so vague - but project funding/universities is a bit of nightmare. So if anyone is interested could they send me their name and a few details so I can contact you with more details when they are finalised. Do not send me a formal application yet - I just want to know if there are people out there interested in this sort of a job. I know I am only offering a small short term job, but it would be very good experience for a recent grad/post grad or for someone wanting to expand the range of sites they have worked on and I am hoping the post will expand and persist.
