http://www.alt.ac.uk/workshops.asp
The aim of this workshop is to show how Extensible Markup Language
(XML) and related technologies can be used in the production of
consistent, high quality learning materials that meet international
standards such as SCORM and IMS.
Various challenges in content production will be explored, along with
suggestions as to how they can be met using XML within a well-defined
workflow. Case studies will be used to demonstrate real production use
of the technologies to create a flexible development process.
Presenters:
David Balch is a web developer at TALL, specialising in the use of XML
in content production and is responsible for the XML workflow and tools
used by TALL.
Marion Manton is eLearning Research Project Manager at TALL and has
worked on the pedagogical aspects of the TALL schema, as well as
being heavily involved in working with authors to develop effective online
learning content using our development processes.
