Staff Development Conference

Widening participation and collaborative partnerships: the role of the SEEC Credit Level Descriptors for Further and Higher Education

The conference will present the report of the SEEC project: An investigation of the issues surrounding the use of credit that facilitate or inhibit FE/HE partnerships. One of the principal aims of which was to produce a set of Credit Level Descriptors for FE level 1 to FE level 3 (HE level 0) These will be available at the conference.

Speakers:

Mandy Hobart Principal Officer in the Qualifications Division of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

Rod Coleman. Director of the University Credit and Accumulation Scheme at the University of the West of England, Bristol. SEEC Chair.

Dorothy Haslehurst. Faculty Head, Quality Assurance, Faculty of Humanities, University of Portsmouth. Member of the SEEC Project team

Professor Bob Johnson. Formerly Head of APEL at Thames Valley University. He led the SEEC Project team.

Dr Jenny Moon. A staff development officer at University of Exeter, a member of the SEEC Executive and a member of the SEEC Project team.
