The Teaching Research and Development Network (TRDN) is an interdisciplinary
network shared between the University of Manchester and UMIST that promotes
good practice through dissemination of research on student learning.  It is
open to all UoM and UMIST staff interested in the teaching and learning
process.

Self and Peer Assessment in Medical Education, Tues 18th March, 4 - 6 p.m.,
Students will describe their experiences of peer assessment in taking
patient histories.

Student Transition and Retention, Weds 19th March, 12 - 2 p.m. Dr Cook from
the University of Ulster will present the findings of an FDTL consortium.

Interdisciplinarity: Building New Cultures?, Mon 31st March. 12.30 - 4.30
p.m.,  Our next session will give people the opportunity to explore a
diversity of options for working beyond discipline boundaries.  Suzanne
Blumhardt, the Deputy High Commissioner for New Zealand, will give a short
talk about the challenges of living on small islands in the twenty first
century as an interdisciplinary trigger.
