I know it's an old message but, If you're still looking for functions to do time series extractions, you're welcome to use my little library of matlab functions at: http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~hernan/Public/Programs/Mfiles/ Descriptions.html the actual files are in : http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~hernan/Public/Programs/Mfiles/LuisTools.tar Let me know if it works.
