POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP in the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan

Several postdoctoral positions are open at Prof. Yuan-Pern Lee's laboratory, Department of Chemistry, National Tsing
Hua University, Hsinchu, TAIWAN.
Possible projects include
(1) application of the two-color or degenerate four-wave mixing technique to
investigate highly predissociative electronic states of free radicals.
(2) application of step-scan time-resolved Fourier-transform spectroscopy to
gas phase dynamics or spectroscopy and kinetics of reaction intermediates.
(3) use of synchrotron radiation source to study VUV spectroscopy and photoionization of free radicals.
(4) matrix isolation spectroscopy of transient species.
(5) IR cavity-ring down spectroscopy of transient species

The appointment is for two years, renewable yearly afterwards, with a salary about US$22K/year plus flight tickets and nearly free on-campus housing. Considering that the tax is small (less than 8%) and the living expenses in Hsinchu is  less than US$300/month, the effective income is actually much better than many places.
Applicant should send their c.v. and arrange 2-3 letters of recommendation to Prof. Yuan-Pern Lee, Department of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, TAIWAN 30043.  (e-mail: [log in to unmask], FAX: 886-3-5722892).
