ConTitle: International Microsimulation Association to be formed
In early December NATSEM and Health Canada jointly hosted 'Modelling
Our
Future: International Microsimulation Conference on Population Ageing
and
Health'. The conference provided a superb venue for hearing about the
latest developments internationally in modelling current and future
health
care, aged care, education, workforce planning, incomes and wealth -
amongst
many other topics! The conference papers will be placed on the NATSEM
website in late January.
One of the outcomes from the conference was the proposed creation of
the
International Microsimulation Association, with Professor Ann Harding
from
NATSEM being elected inaugural President of the Association and Dr Paul
Williamson of the University of Liverpool being elected Vice President.
If you would like to join the new Association (membership is free) or

in
touch with developments
