      With respect ,Do I need to remind you that you are not dealing with your students on this list but your peers? People who you too may learn from. 

      It some cases you do offend contributors who seem to me to have valid points but may be coming from different but equally valid backgrounds.If you want to exclude the style of contribution from people who have practicing backgrounds perhaps you should change the name of the group to "Phd-?" Education for me is more concerned with learning than it is about form and style. Referencing wasn't developed for orinal thinkers.

      If someone wants to make a short contribution they should be free to do so without you behaving like a cranky school teacher. Learning and communication has nothing to do with the length of a contribution or the number of references at the end.In industry as it should be in academia economy of words and quality of content is most important.

      Having said that I think you are doing a fine job convening the conference.
