Thanks to funding from the department of health we have been able to establish an interesting research post for an occ health nurse. The postholder will be working directly with hospital patients who have undergone hip or gynaecological surgery to see if professional OH advice can reduce their return to work times. It is anticipated that the post will be for 2 years and be based in Birmingham. The first advert will be going out in the nursing times next month and subject to response will probably be advertised within the OH journal in February. There aren't many OH research nurses out there so if you know of anyone who may be interested please let them know. The advert is attached. Peter
