Two postdoctoral positions in
theoretical/computational quantum chemical reaction dynamics are available
in the group of
Prof. Evelyn Goldfield at Wayne State University.
One position focuses on the
quantum dynamics of chemical systems with four or more atoms
and involves both methods development
and applications. The computational aspect of the research includes harnessing
the power of parallel and grid computers for quantum reaction dynamics.
The other position focuses on developing methods to
study chemical reactions of systems confined within nanoscale environments such
as nanotubes.
Candidates should be
highly motivated and have a strong background in chemical physics,
dynamics, and computer programming. Experience with high performance computing
is desirable.
The initial appointmen will be for one year.To
