going on?
A national conference to be held on Tuesday 18th March
at
the King's Fund in London
The Maternity Alliance and the National
Perinatal and Epidemiology Unit are
planning a one day national conference on
March 18th 2002 to review what's
happening for pregnant women and new
families in the UK. Government policy
and initiatives will be
discussed along with recent research findings about
access to care for
disadvantaged groups.
Sessions will cover:
The National Service
Framework for children's and maternity services
Support for pregnant women,
new parents and their babies
NPEU/Maternity Alliance Barriers to care project
findings
Policy proposals for the first year of life
Sure Start and Sure
Start Plus
The Teenage Pregnancy Unit
Experiences of pregnant asylum
seekers
