Familiarity with ordinary and logistic regression is assumed. This course will give an overview of probability survey design, including stratified, unequal selection, multi-stage (cluster) and multi-phase sampling. It covers the principles behind design-based and model-based inference. Useful mathematical results are presented to help understand the methods being used, but intuitive explanation is emphasised rather than formal proofs. Several real complex surveys are analysed , including correction for non-response. Bookings can be made online or by contacting Nasira Asghar ([log in to unmask]) by email or phone (0161 275 4736) Early booking is advised as places are limited.
