Hi I was interested to see this topic being discussed on the list and debated it with some colleagues. Certainly within Northern Ireland it would be normal practice to check for cord and if it was percieved to be tight it would be clamped and cut prior to delivery of the shoulders. This is the way I would have been taught as a student and the students would continue to recieve this intruction in the clinical area.
