Professor Thomas P. Hughes will be giving the 2003 Donald Cardwell Lecture on on ‘Ecotechnological Systems: A New Turning Point In Technology’ The lecture in on 3 April 2003 at 5pm in Lecture Theatre 3, Geoffrey Manton Building, Manchester Metropolitan University. (The Geoffrey Manton Building is across Oxford Road from the Aquatics Centre. For location see http://www.mmu.ac.uk/explorer/maps/allsaint.htm) The Lecture is supported by the Donald Cardwell Memorial Fund, which was set up in 1998 to honour the memory and to promote the beliefs and causes of Professor Donald Cardwell. Professor Cardwell founded what is now The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, and established in the city the study of the History of Science and Technology.
