***Apologies for cross-posting*** Black History Month Events Listing - October 2003 London's Museums Archives and Libraries (LMAL) are compiling a listing to promote the wide range of celebrations, events, exhibitions and activities taking place in London this October as part of Black History Month. LMAL are particularly keen to receive details about local history talks, seminars, displays, exhibitions, music and drama performances, book/poetry readings, educational activities and oral history projects, etc. organised by archives/record offices, libraries, resource centres, museums and galleries in the region. If you are planning to host a Black History Month event this October please take a few minutes to provide LMAL with the following details: * Name/ title of the event/exhibition * Date(s) when the event is to take place / programme schedule * Venue (full address) * Time(s) / venue opening hours * Short description about the event (max. 50 words) * Contact details for further enquiries (specifying a contact name, telephone number and email address) * Telephone/Fax number for bookings (if applicable) * URL / Web site for further information * Any additional information (e.g. costs, access conditions, travel details, etc.) Events will be advertised online at www.londonlibraries.org.uk from August 2003 onwards, and LMAL will also distribute the listing to other organisations promoting Black History Month, such as the GLA, The Voice and the Black and Asian Studies Association (BASA).
