What makes effective online services? 28 February 2003

This highly practical course will identify the different forms of online interface e.g. websites, email, FTP, and it will examine the key principles of good design iillustrated by real-life examples of success and failure. Delegates will be introduced to an easy-to-use method for interface design, and will also learn about testing the effectiveness of interfaces and be introduced to a simple evaluation technique.

Who should attend?  Non-technical staff with responsibility for, interest in, or influence over, the online services offered by their organisations (e.g. product managers, publishers, editors, business development managers and marketing staff).

Introduction to Journals Marketing 18 March 2003

This course is an introduction to the changing and challenging role of marketing journals today. Marketing Executives need to deliver marketing which is both impressive to editors, reaches the markets effectively and is achievable with the resources available. By the end of the course delegates will have assessed a variety of marketing ideas and put them to the test by working on a case study.

Who should attend? Anyone with quite new responsiblity for marketing journals whether in a big publishing house or a small association.  It is also an excellent refresher of best practices in jounals marketing today.
