A number of INNOPAC libraries have expressed interest in attending this event, including Durham, Leeds (hosting), Stirling, St Andrews, Sheffield Hallam, Bangor and the Wellcome. I would now like to get things arranged further. The suggested date is Friday June 6th, the suggested venue is the Library at Leeds. Could you let me know: a. If this date would be suitable for you and how many persons might attend from your institution b. What sort of time is the EARLIEST that you could reach Leeds (e.g. would a 10.30 am start be suitable?) c. Would you be prepared to give a presentation on your process of selecting a portal product, your views on the main contenders, the stage you are at and so forth. My understanding so far is that Leeds and Bangor would be prepared to do that but if others are also happy to do that please let me know so that discussion and exchange of experience sessions can be interspersed with such presentations. Anyone with anything live or half live would be particularly welcomed I think with some demos involved. If people could let me know their situation by Friday April 11th that would be helpful for planning purposes. If the EIUG Committee feel that the event would be better developed and taken forward from here under their auspices I would be more than happy for that to happen, just let me know.
