Claire, Most of the e-books we bought so far are from netLibrary for which we receive OCLC records. Printed and electronic versions are treated as separate records by OCLC and in our catalogue. We don't try to merge records when we have any book in print and as an e-book, but have added "cross references" to direct users from print to electronic, as well as from earlier editions of the same work. See http://library.bangor.ac.uk/search/t?SEARCH=basic+groupwork&searchscope=5 We identify possible duplicates and earlier editions using the duplicate (Title Key) report when loading bib records for e-books.
