Unit Director



Saplings Model of Education is a school for children with autism offering early intensive intervention using the principles of behaviour analysis. The Board of Management wishes to appoint a Unit Director at its school in Kill, Kilwarden, Co. Kildare (located approx 45 minutes South of Dublin). The area of expertise required is Applied Behaviour Analysis and Precision Teaching. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Saplings management team and will require a track record in regard to the management of behavioural programmes and staff in both home and school settings.

Applicants must have a first or upper second class honours degree, or equivalent, in Psychology or Education. Applicants would be expected to have either completed their doctorate in a relevant area or be awaiting viva for same. Teaching experience at a tertiary level, research publications of at least national excellence, and at least 3 years applied experience in behaviour analysis would be expected.

The post is on a contract-basis and salary will be ’Ǩ51,546 per year.
