I am a Journalist (Investigative) with roots in Africa.There is a scam called "419" which worked years ago and has now started to rear its ugly head once again.How does it work ? ..You might wonder....
You recieve a mail telling you there is a substantial sum of money stacked somewhere,usually in millions of Dollars.The writer tells you he or she is a Professor, wife of an influential but now deposed or defunct head of State in African country,Accountant with a Petroleum Consortium or Bank....Now your collaboration is sought to siphon money out of an African country...to be placed in your American or European Bank account.....You will be promised a 10 to 20 percent share of the illegal booty.....You might be asked for your bank account details, specimen signatures or Company letterheads......IF YOU FALL, for this gimmick,what do you discover next?.....Your bank account will be emptied
