Please pass this information to anyone you think might be interested: Creative Partnerships Project Coordinator (Anglo-Saxons and Vikings Exhibition) Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service with selected Costessey Schools (A Creative Partnerships Project) Based at Costessey High School and Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery Full-time post ending October 2004 Salary: £16,944 Norfolk Museums and Archaeology Service have secured funding from Creative Partnerships to develop an exciting Anglo-Saxons and Vikings exhibition at the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery based on schoolchildren's work. Creative Partnerships is a major national government funded initiative which aims to create new ways of including young people of school age in the cultural life of their communities, to explore creative approaches to teaching and learning and to develop the role of creativity in education. We are looking for someone with an energetic, creative and flexible approach, who will be able to work with the museum and selected schools to set up and manage this project. The Coordinator will need good organisational skills, together with the ability to react quickly to new tasks or priorities in a fast-moving project. S/he will also be responsible for the financial and administrative aspects of the project. The successful candidate ideally will have some knowledge or experience of museums, the arts and schools as well as experience of project co-ordination, budget monitoring, a methodical way of working, and an ability to set up and maintain financial and administrative systems. S/he should ideally have experience of applying their skills in a museum or similar environment.
