About director's cuts, i think some ppl consent the circle of meaning
process completed very early. It sounds somehow relegating the film to
somewhere that it should be upper than that. Directors cut usually are
not met with spectators. So if you think that film is completed when
editing is finished though not seen by spectators yet, its an artist or
artistic material oriented point of view but i think its a circulating
communication process. And if even one of the integrated part of this
process is ignored it could never be a "good film".
