How about Herzog's _Heart of Glass_? -- technically no one is in a coma but you could argue that the whole city is in a coma from which they will not awaken. (As most of you probably know, Herzog famously hypnotized all of the actors in this film -- with I think one exception of the "prophet" but you wouldn't know that he wasn't under just to watch him -- so that they walk around and speak as if they were in a kind of comatose state.) A remarkable and bizarre film. Nate -- Nathan Andersen, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Philosophy Director, International Cinema at Eckerd College Collegium of Letters Eckerd College 4200 54th Ave. S.
