I am writing a short article on the Victorian motif of the 'angel in the house' and its use in Jane Campion's "The Piano", to the effect of creating a discourse on race and gender relations in colonial New Zealand. Hopefully, it will be submitted to a journal which is interested in such stuff pertaining to race, gender and Australian/NZ film.
