Gance's Napoleon, Pialat's Van Gogh, Altman's Vincent and Theo, Burton's Ed Wood, Russell's Mahler, Lisztomania, and The Music Lovers, (Lisztomania in particular parodies the conventions of the 'and then I wrote my second symphony" school of biopics.) Would anyone count The Color of Pomegranates as a biopic??
