Without wishing to burden the list with ephemera, I'd like to say how much I liked Janice Tong's profile of Claud Sautet in the Great Directors section of Senses of Cinema. He's not a director I know well - as Janice points out, there's not much out there - but I thought the analysis was probing, passionate and sensitive. I'm a big fan of A Heart in Winter and particularly enjoyed the coverage. Made me want to see it again! So, everyone; The Poetics of Melancholy at SofC! Richard
