MA in Film & Video

* An innovative MA programme in the School of Cultural Studies.

* A unique mix of theory and practice with pathways in both.

* Theory students write a dissertation. Practice students make a
half-hour documentary in digital video.

* One year full time or two years part time.

* A programme aimed squarely at the contemporary world.

* Production students will enhance their careers with a substantial and
critically informed documentary.

* Theory students will be equipped for careers such as  teaching,
curatorship or film journalism, and for doctoral research.

Entry requirements: Applicants will normally have a high grade first
degree in cultural or film studies or a related field, or comparable
professional experience (especially for the practice pathway). Theory
applicants should present an example of their written work (academic or
otherwise). Application for the practice pathway should provide a
showreel and a proposal for a video documentary.
