Maybe you should read some other reviews, since, generally, Denby's reviews are what is "commonly known as crap." Metacritic has useful summaries of many reviews: http://www.metacritic.com/film/titles/killbillvolume1/ What needs to be explained is why people are reacting to this film so strongly.
