apologies for any cross-posting forwarded to the list by Peter Dukes MRC - a set of policy documents and proposals which will be of interest to many individuals on the list Neil ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------- In a bid to encourage and promote the sharing and preservation of research data, the Medical Research Council is launching an initiative focused on population-based research and clinical trials. The initiative aims to establish a set of collaborative, science-led activities to produce generic data sharing and preservation solutions for the research community. The MRC is keen to bring together the best appropriate expertise from among data-set creators, users, archivists and document management and informatics experts. Short Expressions of Interest are being sought now, with a deadline of 24 February 2003.
