TECHNOLOGY, CRIME PREVENTION AND SECURITY

24-25-26 September 2003 Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Jointly sponsored by the IEEE Society on Social Implications of
Technology, International Crime Prevention Through Environmental
Design Association, and the the Dutch Ministries of Justice, Home
Office and Economic Affairs.

Tracks:
--Designing out crime
--More integrated and coordinated approach to crime prevention
--Impact of technology on privacy and other social and ethical issues
--Technologies that help prevent theft and unauthorized access --Crime
prevention through 'intelligent' observation --Visual communication
about safety and security --Papers on other traditional ISTAS topics
are also welcome

Deadlines
1 April 2003: Paper and panel proposals due. Proposal should include
an extended abstract, theme in which it best fits, and a short list of
literature references to help reviewers place your contribution. Send
abstracts to Hin Oey at <[log in to unmask]> 30 April 2003: Notification
of proposal acceptance or rejection. 30 June 2003: Full papers for
conference proceedings due.
