Call For Papers: Metaheuristics for Space Allocation

Abstracts are invited for for a special session on Metaheuristics for
Space Allocation at CORS/INFORMS Joint International Meetings, May
16-19, The Banff Centre, Banff, Alberta, Canada.

Space allocation represents a wide range of problems from office space
allocation, filling supermarket shelves, bin packing, knapsack problems,
store layout etc.

The majority of the problems are NP-Hard and so metaheuristics are often
employed to produce good quality solutions to these problems.

Abstracts are invited to present your latest research.

As well as this special session, this meeting promises to be an exciting
event with a full tutorial programme (see
http://www.bus.ualberta.ca/eerkut/banff2004/), other special sessions
(see http://www.bus.ualberta.ca/eerkut/banff2004/invited.htm) four
plenary speakers (see
