Further to my announcement of the conference "Sicilia, nutrix plebis Romanae: rhetoric, law, and taxation in Cicero's Verrines" taking place at the ICS, London, 6-7 February 2004 (programme at: http://www.le.ac.uk/ar/jrwp1/confs.htm#february04 ) would those interested in attending register by January 25th if at all possible, please. Registration costs £25 (£10) and cheques should be made payable to 'University of Leicester'. NOTE to post-graduate students: some funding is available for participation from a fund held by the organiser (myself) from the Jowett Copyright Trustees, but as this is very limited, may I urge any interested UK post- graduates to apply to the Wiedemann Fund (see the Nottingham University Classics Dept. website) which is for precisely this sort of thing and is currently feeling rather rich! However, please note that you must apply to this a month in advance of the conference (so soon!).
