Dear Bugs users, I just would like to share my little experience. I hope it can help !. When dealing with models that are "syntaxically correct", sometimes WinBUGS starts the simulations ... everything seems to be OK (and you have a caffe while waiting for the 100 000 iterations are achieved) ... but the sampler just trashes after a few (or sometimes many !) draws ... with a undecipherable trap message, like "Undefined real results". And for complex models, "debuging" may be quite hard because the trap message doesn't inform you where the error is !. To help debbuging, a quite basic but highly efficient solution that I experimented is to clik on "Save states" (Model menu) and to reinitialize the model with these states. Then, I you have chance, on the left down corner of your screen, the program will indicate you which nodes created the error, what can make you save a lot of time. Best, Etienne.
