Colleagues:
I'm working with WinBUGS 1.4, Win2000, 512M of RAM on my machine, running a
moderately complex model.

My problem: During the updating phase, after about 1000 iterations, WinBUGS
apparently runs out of its RAM allocation and goes to virtual memory on the
hard drive, slowing down to a literal crawl.

I'd like to either 1) Tell WinBUGS to grab as much RAM as possible; or 2)
Tell it not to go to virtual memory when it runs out of RAM.

I'd prefer to implement #1, but cannot determine how to do so or if it is
even possible.
Any recommendations from the list?
