FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL BLACKBOARD USERS IN FE
Blackboard are putting the finishing touches to a one day event to be held
on WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER to take place at Guildford College. Information
should be going out next week and will be available also for your principal
to collect at next week's AOC conference. The event will be FREE to FE
Blackboard users.
The theme of the day will be on sharing best practice within FE and will
include the following:-
1. Presentations from colleges who recently presented at the European
conference (excellent sessions) on some innovative uses of Blackboard.
2. Hands on workshop/training input.
3. 'Spotlight on my College' session - 3-4 colleges to share examples of how
they are using Blackboard (a list will be drawn up and circulated to choose
the most appropriate - so get in now with your suggestions).
4. Blackboard presentation of the new Content Management System. This will
be an advanced preview as it will be officially launched at the Blackboard
users Conference in the States in the new year.
If anyone out there would like to nominate themselves (or someone else) to
contribute to the 'Spotlight On My College' session please get back to me
off list.
Blackboard are very keen to run this event - which is short notice, I know,
and to support and hold up as good practice what is going on in the FE
community.
So, again, names to me re the 'Spotlight' session as soon as you can, put
the date in your diary and if you want to get ahead and book a place send me
your details off list.
