2003 Nineteenth Century Studies Association Article Prize

The Nineteenth Century Studies Association (NCSA) is pleased to announce the
inauguration of the annual NCSA Article Prize. The Prize will recognize
excellence in scholarly studies on subjects from any discipline focusing on any
aspect of the long 19th century (French Revolution to World War I). The winner
will receive a cash award of $500 to be presented at the 25th anniversary of
the Nineteenth Century Studies Association in St. Louis in March 2004.
Articles published between September 1, 2002 and August 31, 2003 are
eligible for consideration for the first annual Prize and may be submitted by
the author or by an editor or a publisher of a journal, anthology, or volume
containing independent essays. Submission of multi-disciplinary studies is
especially encouraged. Essays written in part or in whole in a language other
than English must be accompanied by translations in English.
The winning article will be selected by a committee of nineteenth-
century scholars representing diverse disciplines. The deadline for submission
is October 15, 2003.
Send three off-prints or photocopies of published essays/articles to
