The North Eastern Graduate Forum in the Long Eighteenth Century

This new forum is designed to enable graduate students based at
universities in the North East to meet one another and academic staff to
discuss their research interests in the literature and culture of the 'Long
Eighteenth Century'. Students taking Taught Masters or research degrees and
members of academic staff conducting research in the period from
c.1660-1830 are equally welcome no matter what their disciplinary
background. Meetings will be held three times a year, courtesy of
Northumbria University, at its Newcastle City Centre Campus. The first
meeting will take place on Friday 16 January 2004, 3-5pm. The co-ordinators
of the Forum are Dr Pamela Clemit (Durham), Professor Allan Ingram
(Northumbria), Dr Michael Rossington (Newcastle) and Dr Richard Terry
(Sunderland).

Anyone interested in receiving details about meetings of the Forum, or with
inquiries about it, should contact Michael Rossington by e-mail
